[edit] Lost information
Due to the edits to this page claiming Steve Burns had died, a large amount of information was lost in reverting this page. Therefore, I have reverted the page to the latest complete version. Lorenj 20:39, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Vandalism?
Removed this:
Blues Clues was invented by a gay producer named Vincent Doeling and his lover Amber aka Charles
Looks like vandalism. Myc2001 02:20, 16 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] College my ***!
My mom here is in a fantasy world and refuses to believe Steve went off to college, even after proof right here on this page that he recorded a rock album instead. Somebody please prove to her that Steve is not a college boy. --It's a lion! 12:00, 21 June 2006 (UTC, whatever that means)
- The whole college deal was a storyline to get him off the show and get Joe (Donavan Pattan) to fill in. He makes appearances from time to time. But he did record an album in which he was the lead singer of. --Mr. C.C. 20:51, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
- If she won't believe the article, why would she believe the talk page? Have you considered the possibility that she really does know Steve went off to be a rock singer, and that she really just wants to convince you to go to college? Rklawton 20:56, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
- Rklawton, that makes absolutely no sense. It's all a storyline to get him off the show because he did become a rock singer/guitarist. Mr. C.C. 19:06, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
- I know that. You know that. I was responding to Kiwi whose mom thinks the storyline is real life - and who thinks something in the Talk page might change her mind. Rklawton 19:09, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
- I got you now. You should have been more clear in who you were addressing. ;-) Mr. C.C. 01:55, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
- I had the same problem in church awhile back. I heard someone behind me ask "who wants pepperonis?" and I answered "I do." I got a wife, but I never did get that pizza. Rklawton 03:28, 9 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Porn Star?
The assertion that Burns was in two porn movies seems to have no corroboration anywhere else on the net. It needs to be cited or removed. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 66.217.163.80 (talk • contribs) 00:40, 30 November 2006 (UTC).
[edit] Arm Tattoos?
Is there any reason that we can't also include in the "urban rumors" section the "Steve wears long shirts every day because he used to be a Hell's Angel biker and has arm-length tattoos" thing? I always thought that was the funniest rumor about this benign show and host, and more people need to know it's totally not true. 204.214.7.2 15:05, 1 June 2007 (UTC) SpeedRacerX
[edit] What the Crap Kind of Confusing Article Is This?
Seriously, this article needs work. I was pretty confused throughout the whole thing. It pretty much jumps onto the subject of the rumor that he died of a drug overdose and talks about it as if you know exactly what it's talking about. It really sounds like a six-year-old fan of the show wrote this article. That's my blunt opinion. Waluigi Freak 99 00:13, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
Agreed. Do something about it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.72.79.35 (talk) 05:09, 11 October 2007 (UTC)
I will do it! Especially since the Blue's Clues article was suffering from the same thing complained about here, and I took it on. The problem, as I see it, with Blue's Clues-related articles is that most of its viewers are young children not yet ready for WP editing, or their parents who are too busy to bother. The result is badly-written articles. However, Sesame Street suffers from none of these problems, and it's the best article about a children's TV program on WP. So there! ;) --Figureskatingfan (talk) 19:06, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Mental Issues?
In the second paragraph, it states "Recently, Steve had made an appearance on the Rosie O'Donnell Show to confirm his "good" health. Steve left Blues Clues because of his mental issues." What does this mean? No where else in the article does it mention any kind of mental problem which Steve may be suffering from. --Wydok 04:23, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
Well, since the Rosie O'Donnell show has been off the air for several years, the 'recently' bit should be changed. This article needs to be rewritten and refocused and put into the wikipedia format, as opposed to a smattering of unrelated maybe-facts. And there definitely needs to be a 'rumors' section. Because the suicide rumor is very widespread...EsocksLAMB 00:49, 16 October 2007 (UTC)
- No there does NOT need to be a "rumors" section. This is an encyclopedia, not a supermarket tabloid. The article must be confined to verifiable facts and source citations, not rumors, not supposition, not crap about what talk show he was on "recently" or what "your mom" thinks about what he's doing now. The "suicide rumor" is just that...a rumor. It has no place here, and rumors and myths should not be dignified by addressing them here. Absense of mention is sufficient as a testament to the fact that a rumor is untrue. Facts only. No rumors. This is Wikipedia. It's not snopes.com. 12.22.250.4 22:08, 19 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Not so confusing anymore
At least I hope so. Or at least it's getting closer.
Anyway, I've been working on rewriting this article, which as the consensus seems from this talk page, needed it badly. It simply needed some verifiable info, and it's there, at least what I was able to find from some google searches and some good articles cited on Steve's webpage. Notice the new section, "Rumor mill and departure." I believe that the rumors about Steve's death/drug overdose is important enough to mention in his article because every article about Steve written after 1998 mentions it. Even the Nick documentary brings it up. It's related to his departure of BC because the rumors resurfaced after he left the show.
Tonight, I've deleted some sections of this article because the info in them were (1)unverifiable, (2)repetitive, or (3)just plain silly. I will also delete some of the references because they aren't reliable, as per WP:V.--Figureskatingfan (talk) 06:09, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
