[edit] Hate Crimes

This website is not a university advertisment. Unless a worthwhile reason can be given for removing the "Hate Crimes" addition, I will petition the moderator to lock the page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.239.33.93 (talk) 00:10, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

Completely agree that this is not a University advertisement. It is, however, an encyclopedia; it is important to remember this when making additions to the article. Such a "current event" issue which has been incredibly contained is not worthwhile to be added into an encyclopedia. Perhaps, in order to reach some sort of agreement, you can consider making a much smaller reference to the issue. Finally, consider that (since the issue is clearly controversial enough to be causing a sort of edit war) you do NOT add it until you have properly referenced information.
