Something could be said about the rivalry with Ricky Carmichael, and the question whether America's and Europe's best could have competed, that was never really answered (there was one confrontation in a GP des Nations, where RC won, but Everts was not in good shape, so it remains a mystery: the AMA is perhaps more serious, but Everts beat Stewart, who was able to beat Carmichael, so it will stay undecided whether he was able to do more, and when ...)--Selach 16:21, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

IMHO its a load of BS made up by bench racers and fuelled by the press. If one won the race at the MXDN then the otehr said it was a team ride (Zolder and Matterly). Very ahrd to be NPOV in disscusing it and amintain WP:worldview Pickle 16:36, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
