From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Steve Wyrostek (pen-name Steve Mayfield) is an American musician, entrepreneur, and business writer.

[edit] Musician

Wyrostek is the lead singer/guitarist for the Chicago band the Houndz. Together since 1994 the band of seven creates songs with an exclusively 1960's sound and covers music only from that era. The songs are produced with the philosophy that the music of their youth is uplifting to people in their age group: the "baby boomers.""[1]

The Houndz have been featured in the Chicago Tribune, The Waukegan Sun, and the Daily Herald.[2]

[edit] Business Writer and Entrepreneur

Wyrostek is a business writer for the Chicago Business Ledger, the Daily Mirror, and Small Business Chicago. In 2008 he published a spiritual novel titled Afterlife Crisis.[3][4]

"Gentle Ears, Inc." is a tutoring franchise and "soft skills"[5] consulting company founded by Wyrostek. [6]
