Steve Sedgeley (born 26 May 1968 in Enfield, London) is an English former professional footballer, currently coaching at Luton Town.
Sedgley made over 180 first-team appearances for Spurs as a player after a £750,000 move from Coventry City in July 1989 before switching to Ipswich Town for £1 million in June 1994. Over 100 appearances followed for the Blues before the final move of his playing career, a £500,000 transfer to Wolves in July 1997, where he again made over 100 League appearances before retiring from the game in December 2000.
Sedgley was an unused substitute in the 1987 FA Cup Final for Coventry against Spurs, which Coventry won 3–2. He got his second winners medal in 1991 when Spurs beat Nottingham Forest 2–1.
Sedgley's first managerial job was at Kingstonian, taking charge of his first game away to St. Albans City on 6 October 2001, on the same evening that David Beckham was bending in a free kick against Greece to send England to World Cup 2002. The "K's" form immediately improved, but with very little money or even a proper contract, he resigned in December 2002 because he wanted to spend more time with his family.
He then joined Luton Town in mid-October 2005 to work alongside Youth Team Coach Marvin Johnson. He has recently obtained a UEFA coaching licence.
