Stephen Stageberg is an American distance runner. He is also an Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Mary Washington.

Graduated from South Eugene High School in Oregon.
Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service degree from Georgetown University in 1969.
Masters and Ph.D. in Economics from Georgetown University in 1984.

Winner of the Robert A. Duffey Scholar-Athlete Award at Georgetown in 1969.
