Stephen N. Limbaugh, Sr.

Steven N. Limbaugh, Sr. is a judge of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri. He was appointed by president Ronald Reagan in the early 1980's after a distinguished career as a trial lawyer in Missouri. Like his father Rush Limbaugh, Sr. before him, Limbaugh served as president of the Missouri Bar prior to his appointment.

He grew up in Cape Girardeau, Missouri where he first became interested in the field of law, and earned his baccalaureate and law degrees from the University of Missouri. Early in his career he served as prosecuting attorney for Cape Girardeau County and later joined his family law firm in the same town.

He is the father of Missouri Supreme Court Justice Stephen N. Limbaugh, Jr., and an uncle of prominent radio commentator Rush Limbaugh.
