Stefanos Kotsolis is the first-choice goalkeeper for the Greek club Larissa.
Kotsolis joined Panathinaikos as an 18-year-old in 1997 and made sporadic appearances over his first five seasons at Panathinaikos. The imposing form of first-choice keeper Antonios Nikopolidis kept Kotsolis at bay for much of that time. Kotsolis, then the great hope of Greek goalkeeping, has waited patiently for an opportunity to break into the Panathinaikos first team, but Nikopolidis was always too good to be a second-choise. He made his Alpha Ethniki debute on 30 May 1999 for Panathinaikos.
However, he was a national with Greek Under-21 team and he was the team captain at the 2002 UEFA European Under-21 Championship.
