Stefan Kurten

Stefan Kurten (born 1963, Dusseldorf, Germany) is an artist based in Dusseldorf and New York.
Kurten attended Heinrich Heine University in Dusseldorf from 1982-1983 and studied for his MA from 1983-1989 at Kunstakademie Dusseldorf.
He has shown work in many exhibitions including at Galerie Robert Drees in Hanover, at Hosfelt Gallery in San Francisco and at Thomas Dane in London. He has also exhibited at many galleries and museums such as the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Soapbox Gallery in Venice and the Goethe Institute in Hong Kong. He is represented by Alexander and Bonin in New York and Galerie Ute Parduhn in Dusseldorf.
His work is held in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art.[1]
