[edit] Speedy deletion nomination

The article is short, but the person is former provost of University of Pennsylvaia, seems to have an extensive amount of information about him on Google. The article was recently created, it should probably be expanded rather than deleted. --Hansnesse 22:38, 1 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Notability

From WP:BIO:

The professor test -- If the individual is more well known and more published than an average college professor (based on the U.S. practice of calling all full-time academics professors), they can and should be included.

To me at least, being the provost (chief academic officer) of a major research university is being more well known than the average college professor. Although more can be added to the article, I suggest the tag as the article stands at present, should be removed. Thoughts? --Hansnesse 18:04, 2 February 2006 (UTC)
