Talk:Stan Rofe

[edit] King or Prince of Moomba?
This article claims that Stan Rofe was "crowned King of Moomba in 1968".
Melbourne City Council commissioned a history of Moomba which was written by Craig Bellamy, Gordon Chisholm and Hilary Erikson, (2006), Moomba: A festival for the people and can be read on-line at:
http://www.melbourne.vic.gov.au/rsrc/PDFs/Moomba/History%20of%20Moomba.pdf
On p 26 we find that the second King of Moomba was appointed in 1968 and was British Actor, Alfred Marks.
Furthermore, Stan Rofe's brother Roy Rofe together with Ian B Allen and Bob Hayden state:
"[Stan]... was the Prince of Moomba in 1968..." in their retrospective Legendary Australian R & R Disc Jockey passes away found at:

I contend that Stan Rofe was a Prince of Moomba not a King of Moomba.
This is despite the attribution of King of Moomba to him by the Age newspaper in their obituary written by Patrick Donovan (May 17 2003):

If there are no reasonable objections I intend editing this article to reflect the contention that Stan Rofe was a Prince of Moomba; after seven days from this note.
