Why is "Christian era" being used in this article, when it's not used elsewhere?

Some places in this article the plural is "staves" and in others it is "staffs. " Which is correct? Nate | Talk ^Esperanza! 21:50, 7 December 2006 (UTC)

According to Dictionary.com, Meriam-Webster, and The American Heritage Dictionary: both are correct. I don't know what the WP style convention is about using two forms of a pluralization, though. -xiliquiern^Talk 22:11, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
