Stathis Chaitas (born March 20, 1940 in Greece) was a football midfielder during the 1960s and 1970s. He played for Panionios from 1960 until 1977 with a brief interlude in 1974-1975 season when he played for Larissa. He still holds the record for most appearances in the Alpha Ethniki by a Panionios player with 460 caps for Panionios and 480 in total.
Chaitas was capped 24 times by the Greece national football team scoring one goal.
After his playing days were over, he coached a number of clubs including Panionios, late in 1996.
