State Patrol

State patrols are the names of some U.S. state police agencies charged with enforcing the laws on state highways, interstates, and other roadways. They also may be charged with other duties depending on the respective state. Their counterparts in other states may be called highway patrol or state police agencies. Officers of state patrols are normally called Troopers.
