Star Junction is an unincorporated community in Fayette County, Pennsylvania, United States, in the southwestern part of the state. It received its name because it was once the home of a railroad depot. Star Junction was once a coal mining center. Although the company store and mines are long gone, the "patch" (the groups of company houses) still remain and house many residents. The town is well-known for its local candy shop, Gene & Boots. Star Junction has several suburbs, including Perryopolis, Whitsett, and Wickhaven. Famous residents include the local racer Benjamin Fautas. Star Junction is part of the Frazier School District.
