The Stanton Library is the central library of the North Sydney Council.[citation needed] In 2004 and early 2005 the library was renovated to suit a more modern appearance and to accommodate new sections in an extension.[citation needed] The Stanton Library has some of the best local history resources in all of New South Wales and is often referred to as one of the best council libraries in Australia.[citation needed] The library is a member of Shorelink, an alliance of libraries between small municipalities in the Harbourside areas of northern Sydney.[citation needed]
