Stagecoach is a 1966 remake of the 1939 John Ford western Stagecoach. Slim Pickens replaced Andy Devine as the driver, football player Alex Cord filled in for John Wayne as the Ringo Kid, and Bing Crosby played Thomas Mitchell's part as the drunken doctor (Crosby turned down another role played earlier by Mitchell, Detective Columbo, two years later). The 1966 version was directed by Gordon Douglas.
