Description	English: This statue of King Alfred is located at the center of Alfred University's quad in Alfred, New York. In the background is Susan Howell Hall. The statue is often decorated by students; in this picture, he is wearing one of the purple shirts worn by student Orientation Guides (OGs) during the 2006 freshman orientation.
