Description
English: Hermaphroditus asleep. Greek marble, Roman copy from the Imperial Era (2nd century CE) after a Greek original. The mattress (Carrara marble) was sculpted in 1619 by Bernini, commissioned by Cardinal Scipion Borghese.
Français : Hermaphrodite endormi, copie romaine d'un original grec. Œuvre romaine de l'époque impériale, IIe siècle ap. J.-C.
Italiano: Ermafrodito dormiente, copia romana di originale greco. Epoca imperiale, sec.II d.C. Il materasso èp stato scolpito e aggiunto dal Bernini.
