St Olcan's High School

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

St Olcan's High School was the name of a secondary school located in Randalstown, County Antrim, Northern Ireland. It was one of two schools which were combined to become St Benedict's College in 2006. It was a Catholic co-educational school within the North Eastern Education and Library Board area. The school opened in 1958.

The proposal to amalgamate St Malachy's High School, Antrim and St Olcan’s High School in Randalstown was agreed by Angela Smith the Education Minister for Northern Ireland in March 2006. At this point, the combined school was re-named St Benedict's College. A major rebuilding programme began on the St Olcan's site around the same time.
