St Marys Church [1] in Navan, County Meath is one of five churches that make up the Modern Day Parish of Navan. It was opened in 1839 just shortly after Ireland was recovering from The Night of the Big Wind [2] that occurred on the feast of The Epiphany.
The Church contains a Grotto to Our Lady of Perpetual Help [3] which has recently been the talk of much celebration in the Parish as a miracle has been attributed to it. It is said by many locals[who?] that on October 13, 2007, on the 90th anniversary of The Miracle of the Sun in Fatima, a man from the area left a package beside this grotto that contained details regarding an explanation of the visions of Knock in 1879 and the revealing of the Miracle of the Son who is claimed was Pope John Paul II. The Vatican are investigating the claim[citation needed].
The parish church have modified there Rosary Gardens after receiving the details of The Miracle of The Son. It is similar to what Bernadette went through in Lourdes in having to get a rosary garden built.
The rosary garden used to look like this October 13th 2007 :[4] and [5]
The Rosary garden was decorated [6] and [7] following the church receiving details of the miracle which they forwarded to the Vatican. The Vatican announced the promotion of a priest from Navan to the second highest rank in Social Communications in order to assist with revealing the details of The Miracle of the Son to the worlds media[8]
It is not the first time Ireland has been visited by Our Lady, in 1879 The Queen of Ireland, Our Lady of Knock appeared on August 21st in immense light in a church along with St Joseph and a figure dressed in white with a mitre stick and a prayer book. There was also a lamb on an altar. This vision only occurred once and nobody really had an explanation as to its true meaning until The Miracle of The Son details were left with the church on October 13, 2007. This also offers an explanation of The Miracle of The Sun in Fatima October 1917.
The church has an affiliation to John Paul II with a plaque in his honour, A church of Perpetual Prayer with Totus Tuus emblemed above it [9]. The church also has a shrine to St Joseph, St Padre Pio and many other Saints favoured by Pope John Paul II.
In 2000 the Church opened its Jubilee Garden to commemorate Jubilee Year 2000 [10]. The Small garden is a stone hill path surrounded by some ancient Celtic stones and at the top there is a cross similar to that described by Sister Lucia in the 3rd secret of Fatima.[11]
After the two parts which I have already explained, at the left of Our Lady and a little above, we saw an Angel with a flaming sword in his left hand; flashing, it gave out flames that looked as though they would set the world on fire; but they died out in contact with the splendor that Our Lady radiated towards him from her right hand: pointing to the earth with his right hand, the Angel cried out in a loud voice: 'Penance, Penance, Penance!'. And we saw in an immense light that is God: 'something similar to how people appear in a mirror when they pass in front of it' a Bishop dressed in White 'we had the impression that it was the Holy Father'. Other Bishops, Priests, men and women Religious going up a steep mountain, at the top of which there was a big Cross of rough-hewn trunks as of a cork-tree with the bark; before reaching there the Holy Father passed through a big city half in ruins and half trembling with halting step, afflicted with pain and sorrow, he prayed for the souls of the corpses he met on his way; having reached the top of the mountain, on his knees at the foot of the big Cross he was killed by a group of soldiers who fired bullets and arrows at him, and in the same way there died one after another the other Bishops, Priests, men and women Religious, and various lay people of different ranks and positions. Beneath the two arms of the Cross there were two Angels each with a crystal aspersorium in his hand, in which they gathered up the blood of the Martyrs and with it sprinkled the souls that were making their way to God.
The man says that when people read the third secret of Fatima on front of this Jubilee Garden they will fully understand the mystery of Light.
Stigmata received by the man on 29 September 2007 are being investigated. September 29 is the first day of Pope John Paul II's historic tour of Ireland [12] and also the feast day of St Gabriel [13]. St Gabriel is one of the angels that appears in The shrine of Our Lady of Perpetual Help.
