St Angeline is a submersible research centre in the Atlantic Ocean, some 500 km west of England in international waters, where it is meant to be permanently stationed.
This centre tests new methods of life support systems and experiments new methods for land reclamation, powered by wind turbines. It is the first project in the world that uses a natural energy source to power a land reclamation project.
