St Brendans National School Loughrea

during the late 1960, and 70's De la Salle Brothers administered the Loughrea primary school pupils.

Many ex- patriots brought their families home to Ireland from Zambia, South Africa, Yukon, Canada, the United States, and other corners of the earth to work in TYNAGH Mines while children attended primary schooling at St. Brendans Loughrea. The social hub that Loughrea provided has through out the years proven that offspring, from Westmeath, Meath, Dublin and other parts of Ireland could appreciate each other from the schooling that we received while in Loughrea.it is situated at mount pleasant and is adjacent to st brigids vocational school.
