[edit] Stub? / Catergory
As I mentioned in a previous edit summary, there is nothing to be expanded upon here; the club's importance is limited to its fifteen minutes of fame for its hyperbolic advertisement. If there was something that might have been added, then a stub note would have been appropriate. But as we explored the article's significance during the deletion debate rather thoroughly, I think this is a "closed case." Putting a stub notice up here just wastes the time of those who might look the stub up and try to expand an article that either cannot be expanded assuming encyclopedic standards.
Also, the category is off considering that the club itself is not a politician, is not run by politicans (it is run by lowest-level Democratic "activists"-- really just a get-together for people with simialr interests every few weeks), and has no bearing on Florida politics (its lone fifteen minutes of significance related to national, not Florida politics).
Please be courterous and explain changes here if you desire to revert any. ALC Washington 23:29, 25 January 2006 (UTC)
Stub tags seem like a good idea considering that the article is too short. -- JJay 00:08, 26 January 2006 (UTC)
- I think this is a stub because even if only one event makes this club notable, the article could go into considerably more detail about that event—the details of it, reactions to it, etc.
- I added it to FL politicians because there was no FL parties / FL clubs / etc. category. There is a FL organizations but it seemed more appropriate to go in politicians. I realize that wasn't perfect but it seems we should be looking for a better solution, not just reverting to the previous uncategorized state. --Tetraminoe 03:17, 26 January 2006 (UTC)
I added some cats that may fit better. I also agree that calling this a "closed case" is unnecessarily reductionist. It is also not our place to worry about how people who contribute to this encyclopedia spend their time. -- JJay 12:24, 26 January 2006 (UTC)
