[edit] Amber Subdivision

When the BN gave names to its subdivisions in the early 1990s, the segment of track from Hinckley to North Branch became known as the Amber Subdivision. That designation lasted until the BNSF sold the track to the St. Croix Valley Railroad, which later named the track its "North Branch Line." For more information, see track segment 214 in Alan Eisenberg's 9th edition of "BNSF Track Segment Listings." –Mwmnp 22:45, 2 September 2006 (UTC)
