The Township of St. Joseph is the largest of four municipalities on St. Joseph Island. Its population presently stands at 1,129 (Canada 2006 Census).
The mayor of the Township of St. Joseph is Jody Wildman.

[edit] Richard's Landing
The hamlet of Richard's Landing has a view of the Highway 548 bridge at the pier on the northern tip of town. Highway 548 leads through the centre of the town and is its main thoroughfare. "The landing" is St. Joseph Island's business centre, offering grocery store, liquor store, gift shops and galleries, restaurants, accommodation, marina, hospital, medical centre, pharmacy and massage clinic, bank, parks, public swimming, beach and tennis courts, variety store, video rental and gas bar. Richards Landing is the population of 750 of the Township of St. Josephs, which has a year-round population of approximately 1200. St. Joseph Island's year-round population if about 2000 which expands to between 4000-10000 during the summer months.
