St. Jean de Brebeuf Catholic High School is a Catholic high school located in Woodbridge, Ontario, Canada. Having opened in September 2005 with about 600 students, now with over 1000 students currently attending in only 3 years since it opened, SJB is the newest high school in the Vaughan community. It is part of the York District Catholic School Board (YCDSB). St. Jean de Brebeuf has more than 6 computer labs, 2 full size gyms, 2 full size soccer fields, tennis courts, baseball diamond, and with Vellore Village Community Center (which is directly connected with the school) students are allowed to take advantage of the full size swimming pool and youth room.
There was controversy in the naming of the school as the Jesuit-founded Brebeuf College School, opened in 1963, is located less than a half-hour drive away.[citation needed]
