This image doesn't look like the reaction of nitric acid with Sr carbonate. The reaction is between colorless nitric acid, white SrCO3, producing white Sr(NO3)2, which is colorless in solution. It should be clear and/or white. The almost-black substance at the bottom of the test tube leads me to wonder if this image is mislabled. It looks to me like the reaction of nitric acid with some metal. It is possible that it's just a trick of lighting, and some dark object in the background that is not visible in the photo; in that case, a better photo would be desirable, since this one gives an inaccurate representation of what the reaction would look like.
