[edit] Modus operandi

Danny Daniel was a vandal-only account that was banned on December 21, 2006. He evades blocks by creating sockpuppet accounts and seems to have an interest in creating hoax articles.

[edit] Articles

The editor focuses primarily on Cartoon Network programs, Nicktoons articles, and anime. These articles include: My Gym Partner's a Monkey, The Fairly OddParents, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Ed, Edd n Eddy, Inuyasha, Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide, and SpongeBob SquarePants. Keep in mind that these are not all the articles this vandal edits. Some of the user's likely sockpuppets have been shown to edit articles such as Secret Squirrel, Medabots, and Aaron Carter. One sockpuppet even created a fake Popeye cartoon.

[edit] Editing style / patterns

  • Frequently creates hoaxes, such as The Mime Trio and The Inuyasha Jake Power Hour.
  • Rarely provides edit summaries, with the exception of images.
  • Does not seem to respond to other users.
  • Introduces misinformation into articles. Sometimes, it includes something along the lines of this.
  • As of May 30, 2007, some of the sockpuppets upload images that appear to have been homemade. All of them were related to hoaxes made by Danny Daniel and his sockpuppets (Kiyowood, Jibbert Michart Macoy, etc.). User:Sugarranapanunas was the first sockpuppet to do this.
  • Some sockpuppets use their talk pages to either make hoaxes or to copy and paste existing articles and add misinformation to them. This activities both occur after the the sockpuppet is blocked. User:LuisPlank2X4 and User:ShreddermanHides are the only sockpuppets to do this. Normally, after a sockpuppet has been blocked, Danny Daniel will create another account.
  • This may not become a pattern in the future, but as of June 24, 2007, a Danny Daniel sockpuppet created another account before the main account could be blocked.

[edit] What types of hoaxes to look for?

These are the the typical types of Danny Daniel hoaxes.

  • Parodies of television programs and films, such as Ed, Edd n Eddy and Little Man.
  • Hoaxes disguised as television programs, episodes of existing television programs, or films.
  • Sometimes, his hoaxes will be tagged as unreferenced.
  • Hoaxes with references to Inuyasha, My Gym Partner's a Monkey, Ed, Edd n Eddy (Jibbert Michart Macoy), Re-Animated, Robert Cait or any other article this vandal edits.

[edit] Usernames

Sometimes, there might be patterns in the way sockpuppets are created. Sockpuppet patterns may change after a certain period of time. For example, after the sockpuppet Rannapanna was created and blocked, another sockpuppet with a similar name was created. After that, sockpuppets started to have "land" after the end of the username. Here is another pattern that lasted much longer than that. After the sockpuppet ShreddermanHides was blocked, eight other socks with CamelCase followed, with the exception of Iabci. Then the vandal started to use usernames such as "Gaky" and "Jiky."
