The squash bug (Anasa tristis) of the family Coreidae is a major pest of squash and pumpkins, and is a vector of plant disease to the plants (Yellow Vine Decline). These bugs can emit an unpleasant odor when disturbed. It is also called the Orange-tipped leaffooted bug[1].
