SpyBouncer
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
SpyBouncer is a commercial anti-spyware application developed by SRC Technologies for the Microsoft Windows operating system.
SpyBouncer has been listed by Spyware Warrior as a "rogue anti-spyware" program for its use of aggressive advertising and deliberate false positives. [1] Particularly noted is the use of typosquatting sites such as goggle.com to promote the software, using advertisements which misleadingly suggest that the viewer's computer is infected when it is not. [2]
It has also been described as reporting the Windows Registry keys set by other anti-spyware programs as spyware, causing upwards of 200 "infected items" to be detected on a clean system.[3] SpyBouncer then requests that you purchase the full product to remove the 'spyware' on the computer.
