[edit] Welcome to Wikipedia!

Hello Spring Rubber, welcome to Wikipedia!

Here are some tips:

If you feel a change is needed, feel free to make it yourself! Wikipedia is a wiki, so anyone (yourself included) can edit any article by following the Edit this page link. Wikipedia convention is to be bold and not be afraid of making mistakes. If you're not sure how editing works, have a look at How to edit a page, or try out the Sandbox to test your editing skills.

If, for some reason, you are unable to fix a problem yourself, feel free to ask someone else to do it. Wikipedia has a vibrant community of contributors who have a wide range of skills and specialties, and many of them would be glad to help. As well as the wiki community pages there are IRC Channels, where you are more than welcome to ask for assistance.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask me on my talk page. Thanks and happy editing, Alphax τεχ 07:51, 26 September 2005 (UTC)

Er, hello! I was wondering when I would get one of these. *checks calendar* Yep, it's only been about two months! :P Spring Rubber 21:16, 26 September 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks

Thanks for reverting vandalism on my talk page. :) -Greg Asche (talk) 02:42, 28 October 2005 (UTC)

No problem, I was just clicking around out of boredom and I randomly came across your vandalized user page. I guess I could give the vandalizer a little credit for creativity with the margin abuse. :P Spring Rubber 02:49, 28 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Bcbud

i agree with you that the article should be a candidate for speedy deletion, and i re-added a speedy deletion template. we'll see what comes of it.--Alhutch 08:28, 30 October 2005 (UTC)

Thanks, I wasn't sure if advertizing was covered under speedy deletion, but I figured it should be. That confirms it. One way or another, it should definitely be deleted. Spring Rubber 08:30, 30 October 2005 (UTC)
Right you are. Keep up the good work!--Alhutch 08:32, 30 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Durmus Kumdereli

Thanks for your efforts to cleanup Wikipedia. However, foreign language articles aren't usually deleted straight away. We have a page WP:PNT where such pages can be put to request translation, to see if we can use them. I much prefer having a German Wikipedian give their opinion on it before deleting something like that. Keep up the good work, though. You can't know everything unless someone tells you. - Mgm|(talk) 09:57, 25 November 2005 (UTC)

  • Ah, yes, sorry about that. I wasn't quite familiar with the whole process myself. I was thinking in the back of my mind that there might be a more appropriate place to list the article, but I wasn't quite sure. --Spring Rubber 10:06, 25 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy Test Deletion

Don't worry, another one will be along before you know it! - Nunh-huh 09:50, 27 November 2005 (UTC)

Yes, that link-to-user-page-and-not-talk-page is a major pitfall when there's nothing on the user page to tweak me to "oh, it's a user page". A simple "Nothing to see here, move along" could serve! - Nunh-huh 10:02, 27 November 2005 (UTC)
It is the no-muss, one-size-fits-all solution! - Nunh-huh 02:44, 28 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Merry Christmas

MERRY CHRISTMAS, Spring Rubber! Hope it's a wonderful one! (happy New Year, too!)--ViolinGirl 21:25, 24 December 2005 (UTC)

Hey, sorry I didn't sign up there. Yeah, well the {{db}} for Koded gave you a Merry Christmas, because I "met" you there! Is there any resolution to that? Think it should be put at WP:AfD?--ViolinGirl 21:25, 24 December 2005 (UTC)
Oh. Where?--ViolinGirl 21:29, 24 December 2005 (UTC)
Oh! Well, then I guess I already voted. Hm...okay, so that was stupid of me. Thanks, though. See you around!--ViolinGirl 12:41, 25 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Whipps Cross University Hospital

I did not actually edit the article any, beyond removing the copyvio and other cruft that had worked its way into the text. However, you're right: the hospital is set to open in 2012, so I've changed that part back :) Seqsea (talk) 06:12, 6 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/TropicaI Storm Jason

That's an intresting vandal: Axiomm (talk | contribs). Axiomm created three or four hoax articles. Then he "closed" TropicaI Storm Jason as "delete and merge", and actually merged the hoax info into The Perfect Storm. So I'm thinking the "closing" was to get the word "merge" into the decision.

An admin seems to have actually deleted the article; deletion log. An honest mistake I'm sure. Axiomm was pretty established as a vandal (even sort of half admits it on his user page) so the article had little chance of surviving.

I hope I didn't make a mess of things by restoring the AfD...

Actually a fairly well played hoax attempt from Mr. Axiomm :-) Well selected target (medium famous film, can't pull stuff like that on Star Wars since fans know every detail), and fake info that takes a bit of googling to verify as incorrect. Weregerbil 15:19, 16 March 2006 (UTC)

The Editor's Barnstar

[edit] Re: The Weather Channel (Thanks)

The corrections have been made and thanks for the heads up. One question though, if you don't mind. Why did you wanted to bang your head? I don't get it. --Moreau36 19:12, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Keegan Goerz

In regards to the article Keegan Goerz, which you proposed for deletion, I have marked the article for speedy deletion, as I feel that the article meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion. In cases where it applies, speedy deletion is preferable to proposed deletion. I have left the {{prod}} tag in place, so that if speedy deletion is rejected, your proposed deletion will remain in place. Thanks! ~ BigrTex 21:34, 17 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] The Weather Channel had long-form programs in the past.

However, these programs like "Clash of Seasons" which debuted in 1988 were never movies, these were educational programs about people and both the weather, that did air on The Weather Channel at 8PM and 11PM EDT, and on some weekends which was true, until they stopped doing this in either '93 or '94.

--4.188.96.120 04:38, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

I'm not sure what you're referring to; is this about something on the article here at Wikipedia? --Spring Rubber 02:33, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
    • It is not about the article. Except for your ranting about The Weather Channel which drives me crazy, "Spring Rubber".

I never saw "Storm Stories" broadcast on The Weather Channel on the weekends, and it does not air! I never saw any Forecast Earth, or It Can Happen Tommorrow broadcast on the channel.

--4.160.183.190 04:37, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

I still don't understand what you're trying to say about me. I'm just one of many others who are at least mildly disenchanted with the constant increase in long-form programming on The Weather Channel. I don't constantly rant about said programming like you're implying I do. I only make such comments when they're appropriate. That said, while I acknowledge that TWC had long form programming in the past, it was not overdone, and it tended to be more relevant. --Spring Rubber 21:49, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re:Regarding Talk:The Weather Channel (United States)

Could you please explain why you placed the {{WPBiography}} template on this page? I don't see how it qualifies as a biography. --Spring Rubber 00:31, 7 July 2007 (UTC)

Oh I see what I did. I did a mistake; sorry, my bad. Let me explain to you. I often go in the Category:Unassessed biography articles to assess articles for the Biography WikiProject. The category lists talk pages of articles who have not been assessed yet. One of those talk pages was that of an article that redirected to The Weather Channel (United States), so when I made my assessment, the template went on The Weather Channel talk page, and not on the talk page of the redirect page. When I noticed that the talk page I thought that I assessed was that of a redirect page, I put a speedy deletion template on the redirect page talk page, but did not think that my assessment could have gone on the wrong talk page. I have now reverted my erroneous edit. Sorry for the inconvenience, and thanks a lot for warning me! :) ZOUAVMAN LE ZOUAVE 02:12, 7 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Hey there Sprig.

Long time no see. How've you been? -LtK 75.9.46.154 08:05, 19 August 2007 (UTC)

  • I'm doing alright, I hope. Things could be better, but what are you gonna do, huh? How have you been? I actually talked to Lynk earlier this week for the first time in ages, which might be why you're here, seeing as you haven't contributed anything except for your message to me. >_> I actually made a post with my "Sprig" account earlier this month. It took me a while to remember why I created that account, but it all came back to me quickly. :P I've probably been more active on Wikipedia and GameFAQs in the last few weeks than I have for the rest of 2007, but that's not necessarily a good thing since it starts to eat away at time for "real life" things. I should probably slow down on my internet activity over the next week; there are still a few more important things to do before school starts up the week after this. So, how has your post-10:20 life been? --Spring Rubber 08:46, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
    • I've been alright too. Still posting at GameFAQs, though it's not nearly as fun without 10:20. And yeah, Lynk is the reason I'm here. Every once in a while I try to get him to revive it. I used to have a Wiki account but it got removed because I never did anything with it. I'm sick at the moment, but it's nothing too bad, I'll get over it pretty soon. I'd probably hang around Wiki a lot more, too, if I had the attention span to do all of the things you and Lynk do. XD 75.9.46.154 09:21, 19 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] December 11 Edit.

The warning code placed in the article seemed to be out of place, I moved it upwards to avoid unnecessary extra lines. I apologize, my mistake. --71.200.226.128 22:38, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
