I am a transwoman, a full time nursing student, and a director at large on the national board of the Renaissance Transgender Association.

People questioning their gender identity often feel alone and confused. In trying to understand their feelings, they do research. After putting a name to what they are feeling, they search for others who are like them. Therefore, I am trying to add a link to Ren on wiki pages where people seeking information and / or support can find our resources. The web page is completely free and offers education resources and information about local meeting sites.

Ren was formed some 20 years ago by trans people to support and educate one another and the population at large. It is non-political and meetings are open to anyone. Support group chapters exist in DE, NY, LA and PA. Ren has served as the first place for thousands of trans people to express themselves in an open and supporting environment.
