To my knowledge the development is not known simply as Springfield. However, there need not be two pages on the one specific area so I am proposing a merger or sorts, resulting in a redirect from one page to the other, whichever is decided to be the more correct page name. Agreed: Merge and redirect to Springfield. I am not familiar with the term Greater Springfield. Another issue which needs clarifying is what local government area it falls under. Is it a suburb of Brisbane, part of Moreton Shire or Ipswich? - Shiftchange 03:24, 4 April 2006 (UTC)

The following are a list of resources that I found that may help with finding out where Springfield is located
  • Merger of Moreton Shire with Ipswich in 1995 [1]
  • Map of Brisbane City Council's Western Suburbs [2]
  • Map of Brisbane City Council's Southern Suburbs [3]
  • Map of (Greater) Springfield area [4]
  • Reference to Greater Springfield in a commercial property site [5]
  • PDF of an act of Parliament referring to Springfield as part of Ipswich Shire [6]
  • Another Government PDF [7]
  • Government PDF referring to both Springfield and the Greater Springfield Development [8]

It definitely seems to be in Ipswich, as Moreton Shire no longer exists as of 11 years ago. It is also referred to as Springfield mostly, with references to Greater Springfield Development being an alternative in both Government legislation and corporate websites.

I think its safe to redirect Greater Springfield to this page, and move some new information across from the Greater Springfield page if necessary. Ansell 04:42, 4 April 2006 (UTC)

Theres a sentence here " Future stages include Cinemas, and a Bulky Retail Centre". what is a bulky retail center? How about large retail center or something, Bulky sounds a little bulky. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.94.54.14 (talk) 01:54, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
