Springstein, Manitoba

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Springstein is a village in the Canadian province of Manitoba, located about 20 kilometres west of Winnipeg. The community has been around at least since the 1930s. Originally it was settled by people who were part of the Mennonite religion.

Springstein is surrounded by farm land and is now more of a bedroom community of Winnipeg. There are no services in the community. In the 1960s there was a small community store that was located in the basement of a house. The store also had the Post Office that was in front of you as you walked down the stairs. The people that owned the store also had Shell gasoline for sale.
