The Springfield Sliders are an amateur summer wood-bat baseball team in the Central Illinois Collegiate League. They play at Robin Roberts Field at Lanphier Park and are based in the city of Springfield, Illinois. The Sliders are a relatively new team as they were formed in November 2007^[1][2] which started their inaugural season in June 2008.
