[edit] Usurpation of shortcut

I have undone the undiscussed usurpation of this shortcut. If this shortcut is allegedly needed for something else, then it needs to either be discussed and agreed upon by consensus at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Sports, or even more broadly, such as at the Village Pump or via an RfC. It also needs to happen after a proposal that would claim this shortcut is approved by the community (in this case, the proposal was rejected several month ago, and proponents of the proposal never even bothered to return the shortcuts to their original targets. Even should such a proposal be successful, and a proposal to change these shortcuts also be successful, the usurper is bound to do the required cleanup (e.g. via AWB) of refactoring all extant references to the short cut, e.g. in talk archives, to correctly point to the original target instead of the newly-passed proposal, or none of the original uses of the shortcut will make any sense at all to other editors. Lastly, if Wikipedia:Notability (sports) is successful at some point, some other shortcuts should be chosen anyway, as WP:SPORT and WP:SPORTS do not intuitively imply anything about notability, but about sports in general. Try WP:NOTSPORT, WP:NOTSPORTS, WP:SPORTNOT and WP:SPORTSNOT. — SMcCandlish [talk] [cont] ‹(-¿-)› 18:23, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
