[edit] Should we even have that icon?

The icon is going to be in bad places wherever it goes, apparently. The current style moves to accommodate the FA star, but is bad for anons, as it is obscured by the donations message. The other option is to move it down below the FA star and donations message -- but apparently this doesn't work on all articles. Was the icon really a good idea? Should it go? --WCQuidditch 20:41, 19 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Template:Click

Template:click uses a wikitext/HTML/CSS hack to make links unclickable in graphical browsers (adding confusing links to other browsers), was proposed for deletion. Although there was a clear consensus about the problems caused by this template, the result was "no consensus" because this template is used in thousands of pages. However, great ideas were proposed to fix the accessibility problems (also for top icons), and a new WikiProject was created to replace it. See Wikipedia:WikiProject Usability/Clickable images

I'd like to ask you to substitute the Template:Click inside this Template:Spoken Wikipedia boilerplate as done in other top icons like Template:Featured article or Template:Featured portal or Template:sprotected2 (that is, to make a {{subst:click|...}} to insert its contents in the template). This won't fix the accessibility problems yet, but it would help the WikiProject to find which pages use the Template:Click directly. Don't hesitate to contact us for more information. Thanks! --surueña 16:51, 28 December 2006 (UTC)

Done. If I didn't do it right, please contact me at my talk page. If you have any questions, please contact me at my talk page. Ian Manka 03:43, 3 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] protected edit request

{{editprotected}}

Replace all occurences of

article

in this template by

{{#if:{{NAMESPACE}}|page|article}}

to display correctly on pages that are not articles.

Is there any reason why this is protected when the template in which it is used is not? – Gurch 21:09, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

Replaced, and other templates protected. -SCEhardT 00:37, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] understatement

A suggestion. Instead of "may not reflect subsequent edits", what about "will not reflect any subsequent edits". It still allows for the possibility of no subsequent edits, without implying that the recording might perhaps reflect subsequent edits. Regards, Ben Aveling 10:30, 2 April 2008 (UTC)

Good point. I've made the change. -SCEhardT 13:46, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
