Spittals Interchange
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Spittals Interchange is the name of the roundabout on the junction between the A14, A14 and A141 north of Huntingdon.
The junction is unusual in that three arms of this four-way junction are numbered A14 (the one is the one to the north is a four mile spur to the A1 further north). The north to east A14 passes under the roundabout, but the west to east A14 traffic has to enter the roundabout. Most of the traffic is on the A14 between the east and west, so the majority of A14 traffic has to negotiate the roundabout.
Traffic lights were added in 2006[1] to attempt to reduce the number of accidents and improve the traffic flow.
