Spic n Span is a game that is similar to Polish horseshoes (sometimes referred to as Spanish horseshoes). While similar in style, the two games have some notable differences.
[edit] How to play
In Spic n Span, 2 teams are formed with 2 players on each. Teams will stand roughly 15 - 20 yards apart. Two ski poles spaced about a body length apart are placed where the teammates stand. Plastic cups are placed upside down on top of each ski pole. The goal of the game is to throw a frisbee from your side to the other teams and try and knock the cups off of the poles or get the frisbee between them without touching either pole. The team playing "defense" has to try and catch the cups if they get knocked off before they hit the ground.
Anyone named Mike is automatically what is referred to as "the Joker." Its his role to tie the bottom of his shirt in a knot, revealing his midriff, and fetching glasses of water for the contestants.
[edit] Scoring
For knocking a cup off without the defensive team catching it before it hits the ground, the throwing team scores 1 point. If the defensive team catches the cup before it hits the ground, they receive the point. Knocking both cups off is worth 2 points, and if both are caught then it is 2 points to the defensive team. If the frisbee makes it between the poles cleanly without touching either, the throwing team scores 2 points (There is no defensive maneuver for this method of scoring). If the thrower starts his throw behind his own poles and makes it cleanly between both sets, his team will be awarded 3 points. The game is played until a set number is reached (usually 15 or 21 points).
