Although it's not explicitly out there, this article is USA-specific content-wise. I'm not sure if special use permits exist elsewhere. Once someone can bring something forward, then we can globalize this article.EECavazos 17:03, 20 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Term Permitted Use Unclear

I work at Los Angeles County Dept of Regional Planning and in our County Code there are 'allowed uses' and 'permitted uses' - permitted uses are the ones that require special use permits (called Conditional Use Permits in the code). L. Greg (talk) 22:24, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
