Spearhead is a war novel by Franklin M. Davis, Jr, published in 1958. Set in the Second World War, the book is about a US tank-infantry team, who fought the Germans in the Rhine Valley.
Davis went on to become a Major General in the U.S. Army, and most of the books published were done so before he became a general near the start of his tour in Vietnam. Two of his books had his name as "Col. Franklin M. Davis, Jr."
