Why isn't there a mention of the Cosmic Club in Italy, from which Cosmic disco sound was established or perhaps others before 1977?

Answer: - According to RAI's "Discoring" (A TV show, started on february 1977), the music style you mention, appeared around 1979 and it was called "Rock Electronico". This same term also used until 1984 for the so called italian produced "Italo-Disco" hits. The Italian "Rock Electronico" music style, has no relation with Space Disco but it was one of the roots of the Spacesynth music style. Some Italian produced Remixes of well known eurodisco hits, are mentioned on the article.

Those "perhaps" some Italians spread all the time over the internet, sometime must be stopped. They were good "tales" back in the mid 90s boards (iventy italochat, ect), but they are far from truth. The archives from ZDF's DISCO, NDR's Musikladen, Holland's TOPPOP, Italy's Discoring and even BBC's TOP of the POPS, do exist today and we have plenty recorded material between 1971 to 1984 to point the historic true of those music styles. Even Rete4 airs the late 80s archives on a regular basis with plenty suprises there...

[edit] Meco recognition

Meco was one of the first artists of this genre and with a US #1 hit in October of 1977, I find the article not presenting this act more prominently deficient. __meco (talk) 12:35, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
