Spa Association Singapore

The Spa Association Singapore is an association of professional destination spa and day spa operators in Singapore. It was officially established in October 1998 to promote the spa industry in the country, to act as its representative body, as well as to establish standards of practices.

It was formed with the support of the Singapore Tourism Board, aiming to establish strong Spa outlet's brands in Singapore and overseas. According to its website, the Association works closely with the Police Licensing Division, International Enterprise Singapore and other industry partners and statutory boards.[citation needed]

In 2002, the Association began an accreditation program to establish and maintain professional standards for the Singapore spa industry. Spas accredited by the Spa Association of Singapore have been determined to meet and be committed to maintaining the standards set by the Association.

Most of Spa business owners are increasing putting their interest on wellness industry. In early 2003, Spa and Wellness Association has been formed to given a greater streng position of Spa and Wellness industries in Singapore. Currently, Spa and Wellness Association has manage more than hundred Spa and Wellness networks in Singapore.
