SovietCommissar is a student of Blue Ridge Community College (Virginia), specializing in Computer Science and independently studying music, the arts, psychology, and Russian/Soviet history after 1700 AD (specifically related to events during the lifetime of Nicholas II of Russia, and the Great Patriotic War). He is a moderately active member of a minor, unofficial branch of the Communist Party USA, is a member of a East Coast Soviet WWII reenactment group and airsoft team, and serves with the Virginia State Organized Militia. He currently resides in the Shenandoah Valley.
He writes in the fields of open poetry in addition to two researched novels-in-progress, the historical fiction Letters from the Eastern Front, 1941-1945, and the occult-genre examination of Christianity and psychology Kreis des Alkemisten. All of these works, as well as several graphical arts (see right), can be found at the first of the websites listed below. He has also composed several works for orchestra and assorted instruments, which may be found at his Purevolume page.
He is approaching fluency in German, and speaks an intermediate level of Russian.
