A now-deleted article/redirect, South Staffordshire postponed poll, 2005 was merged into this article. The old article, with complete history, is available at Talk:South Staffordshire (constituency)/South Staffordshire postponed poll, 2005.

Why is this page at "South Staffordshire (constituency)"? Isn't the constituency called "Staffordshire South"? Either the page name or the introduction is incorrect. Joe D (t) 09:50, 17 May 2005 (UTC)

nm, I have the answer. Joe D (t) 09:52, 17 May 2005 (UTC)

[edit] previous constituency

Rayment says that Staffordshire (UK Parliament constituency) was divided into north and south divisions. These must have been much larger than the present constituency, however there appears to be no article on that, so I ahve redirected it here. There are other cases of a constituency that is abolished and then reconstituted with the same name but a different area, so this does not seem inappropriate, but ti makes this article a stub.
