Budéjovický kraj the same territory as what was previously known as Jiro Cesky? If so the old name should be mentioned, and if not perhaps a short explanation of the difference would be helplfull. -- Infrogmation

According to [1] obsolete names of Jihoceský are Budejovický and Ceskobudejovický. Can anyone from Czechia conform this? andy
Checked this at the official sites. The Czech regions naming conventions is a big mess - in 2000, the (I guess 10) former communist era regions have been transformed into 14 new regions (incl. Prague), and some of them changed their name the following year. This was the case of Ceskobudejovicky -> Jihocesky region. Matt Borak 08:38, 18 Feb 2004 (UTC)
