Southport Tigers are a Gold Coast, Queensland based rugby league football club. Formally Gold Coast Tigers, the name was changed in 1978 to accommodate other Gold Coast based teams.
In 1982/83 a committee with the help of many volunteers began planning to build a Leagues Club. Thanks to the contributions of both the senior and junior clubs and the 161 people who paid $200 to become a foundation member, Senator Ron McAuliffe officially opened the single story clubhouse on the 1st of February 1984. The site of the current Southport Leagues Club.
Southport Tigers cater for rugby league for all ages and levels of rugby league from under-6 to the local A Grade.
