Southern nevada grotto

The Southern Nevada Grotto was established in 1968 and has been an active member of the National Speleological Society. The grotto is a non-profit caving organization dedicated to the preservation and conservation of caves in Southern Nevada and the Southwest. Grotto members work together to discourage exploitation of the underground environment and encourage careful use of cave resources. The Grotto has been active in working with government agencies and local land owners to create plans for their continued good management. In addition, the Grotto promotes safe caving practices through education and training.
