South Augusta Marching Unit, also known as SAMU is a public marching unit located in Augusta, Georgia. It was established in 2000 by Ms. Bridgette Jackson. It is mostly used to give kids, teens, and preteens something to do outside of school. If middle and high school students aren't in their school bands, then this gives them an oppurtunity to see what it is like. SAMU consists of drummajors, dancing girls, flag corps, and percussions. SAMU performs in many places such as Atlanta, Georgia, Tallahassee, Florida, and St. Petersburgh, Florida.
